The Picnic

On the weekend Aaron went with family and friends on a picnic to Bunsen Lake. They decided to bring food and beverages for the picnic. Julia loves picnics so she filled up four coolers with the food items.

At the lake they decided to do some swimming and then put on some sunscreen - the number on the sunscreen bottle was 35 - it is much better at protecting the skin from the sun. The higher the number the more protection.

Eventually, Julia put out the food and started to prepare lunch. There was going to be more food than was necessary, but Julia loves to cook, and loves family outings. She made a point of keeping the potatoe salad out of the sun because it will become dangerous to eat if left out in the sun for too long. With respect to the hamburgers Julia also didn't bring them out of the cooler (which had ice in it to keep things cool) until it was time to cook the meat. She made sure the meat was well done, so that no one got food poisoning.

Finally, it was time to eat and everyone was starving - the activities had created a need for energy and drinks. Before the lunch though everyone washed their hands and face thoroughly. During the meal Aaron made sure everyone had what they needed so that no one went without something. At the end of the meal they had a cake that had been prepared for Anamaria, it was her birthday!
